Hey, I'm Urban!

I’ve always had a fascination for games and playable spaces. Already as a kid I drew a (surprisingly accurate) map of my home with all possible hiding spots. In 2018, I started to dedicate evenings and weekends creating maps for StarCraft II. A couple years later I had completed a Master of Arts in Primary Education, but my success as a mapper made me just wanting more and eventually prompted a career shift.

This brought me to Malmö and The Game Assembly, which has to be one of my life's best decisions. I got to continue to learn and improve on something that I truly enjoy, work with really talented people, and made amazing new friends.

When it comes to designing levels, I believe cohesiveness is what differs good from great and I like to think of how my decisions affect others and with the aim to make levels not only play well but also look great. I'm a solution-oriented guy who's always up for feedback, and not afraid to ask the tough questions to ensure design choices align with project goals.

Thank you for checking out my portfolio, I hope you like it. If you believe I can contribute to your team, I'd love to hear from you!

I am part of The Game Assembly’s internship program. As per the agreement between the Games Industry and The Game Assembly, neither student nor company may be in contact with one another regarding internships before April 23rd. Any internship offers can be made on May 6th, at the earliest.
